About Us

Coalition for the Homeless collaborates with numerous community partners to better serve our residents.

The Coalition has three on-site partners, each with an office on our main campus:

Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida Downtown Branch

The Coalition is the first shelter in the nation with an onsite Boys & Girls Club. Known as “The Positive Place for Kids,” the club provides daily character development programs for children 6-18.

Aspire Health Partners

Aspire provides mental health counseling for our adult residents, offering specialized case management and support for adults and children who are victims of crime. The case managers at Aspire also provide referrals for family counseling and other developmental services.

The Orange County Public Schools LifeStrides Program

The Orange County Public Schools LifeStrides Program offers GED courses or continued education at no cost to homeless students. The LifeStrides classroom serves not only our clients, but other homeless adults in our community.

Our Partners

Without our dedicated partners, the Coalition’s work would not be possible. We collaborate with over 40 community partners on a regular basis. Among the most active are:

City of Orlando
Florida Department of Children and Families
Health Care Center for the Homeless
Herzing University
Homeless Services Network of Central Florida (HSN)
Orange County Government
Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) Title 1 Program
University of Central Florida
