Group Opportunities

Hundreds of groups help the Coalition each year. From landscaping and serving meals to sorting donations and organizing game nights, volunteer groups enrich the lives of our residents.

Groups range in size from 5 to 500. They come from schools, businesses, conferences, places of worship, and other nonprofit organizations. Projects take place every day of the week and vary in form.

To schedule your group for a visit, or for more information, contact Kristen Pena, Director of Community Engagement, at or 407-872-5784.

Meal Service

Groups can sign up for a one-time date or a recurring schedule to provide and serve meals to our clients. The group is required to provide the food, or underwrite the cost of the meal. There are opportunities to sponsor and serve breakfast or dinner at each facility, daily.

Working with Children

Host kids activities such as arts and crafts, game nights, and movie nights. Groups can also throw holiday parties for the kids (e.g. Valentine’s Day, Christmas, Halloween). Groups typically need to provide all the supplies for these activities.

Improvement Projects

This is a perfect way for a group of people to have fun and lend a hand. There are always plenty of opportunities to enhance our facilities and grounds. Groups can help with painting, weeding, yard work and more.

Organize a Supply Drive

We rely exclusively on donations to supply our men, women, and children with the items that will make their stay with us as comfortable as possible. Organize a supply drive with your coworkers, classmates, religious group, or civic organization. View our Immediate Needs List.

Making and Serving Bag Lunches

Groups will need to provide all the items to go into the bag lunch. They can be assembled at our facility or made in advance. Lunches typically include: a sandwich, chips/pretzels, bottle of water, apple or banana, and a dessert.

Activities for Adults

Whether it is a pampering day for our ladies, a bingo night for our men, or a workshop for all, we are always looking for both recreational and educational opportunities for our adult residents.
