Learn more about our yearly fundraisers: Empty Bowls Symbolic Soup Kitchen Luncheon - This new Coalition fundraiser will be held on Monday, November 15, 2010 from 11:30 am – 1 pm at the Sonesta Hotel Downtown. We are proud to carry on this 20-year tradition begun by our partners at Second Harvest Food Bank, raising awareness in the community and feeding our hungry neighbors who face "empty bowls" every day. The Doug Spencer 15th Annual Golf Challenge – The 15th Annual Doug Spencer Golf Challenge will take place on Friday, January 14, 2011 at Falcon's Fire Golf Club in Kissimmee. Golfers once again will raise funds for the Coalition's programs and services as they race around a championship golf course, playing as many holes as they can in five hours, with their donors pledging either a flat amount or on a per-hole basis. This year's super golfers raised $71,000! Check back for more details. 18th Annual Hearts of Gold – The 18th Annual Hearts of Gold will take place on Friday, April 22, 2011 at Hard Rock Live. The evening will feature an unforgettable concert by Beatlemania Now, a 60's themed party in the fabulous Art Bar and Lennon Room, and a Silent Auction of must-have items. Check back for more information...and get your hippie clothes ready! 21st Annual Taste of the Nation – The 21st Annual Taste of the Nation took place on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at the Orlando World Center Marriott Resort and Convention Center. This evening of fine dining and entertainment raised $156,000 to fight childhood hunger. Local beneficiaries were Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida and Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. Check back for details on the 22nd Annual Taste of the Nation.
