Tramaine's Story

What We Do

We are a low barrier residential shelter with a focus on housing, emergency services, and diversion. We help families and individuals return to stable, permanent homes as quickly as possible.

Housing

Our goal is to end homelessness for the men, women, and children who walk through our doors. Following the Housing First approach, we return individuals and families to safe, stable, permanent housing as quickly as possible.

Emergency Services

No one should be without safe shelter, nutritious meals, clean clothes, or access to showers. We offer a variety of emergency services to meet the needs of our community.

Diversion

In order to ensure that shelter beds are utilized by those most in need, our Diversion Services help homeless individuals and families find housing options outside the homeless services system.

The Problem

We are part of a collaborative community effort to prevent and end homelessness. Working together, homelessness is a problem we can and will solve.

There are only 17 affordable rental units available for every 100 low-income households in Central Florida.

The 2023 Point-in-Time (PIT) Count found 2,258 homeless individuals on a single night in Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties.

Earning minimum wage ($8.25 per hour), a single person needs to work 84 hours each week to afford a one-bedroom rental in Florida.
